Cubbies Kris-Kross Friars with rookie phenom’s bat.

Highly touted 3B, Kris Bryant makes his well anticipated debut in the majors and doesn't disappoint hitting 2 HR as the Cubbies pound out 16 hits to maul the Padres 11-2.

Game 2   Chicago 8   San Diego  5
Trailing by a run in the 6th inning, Bryant unloads his third HR of the series to tie the game and added one more for good measure giving him consecutive multiple HR games to start his career.  Mike Rizzo hit his 4th HR of the year as Chicago had 14 hits in game 2.

Game 3    Chicago 3   San Diego  1
Jon Lester was the star of game 3 as he goes 8 innings of one run ball and Rondon closes the game out for his 4th save.  With the sweep the Cubs have a 7 game winning streak to raise their record to 8-3.
